The National Abortion Federation (NAF), the leading pro-choice organization representing abortion providers and their patients, has an immediate full-time opening for a Training and Education Intern.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform research and analysis for specific projects;
- Design, compile and analyze survey data;
- Assist in planning site visits for NAF member facility;
- Assist in other projects as needed.
The Medical Intern reports to NAF's Medical Director and works in concert with the other Medical Department staff.
Qualifications:
- Strong commitment to a woman's right to choose;
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, data entry, attention to detail, and a desire to gain experience in the medical aspects of abortion care;
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills;
- Background in biology, public health, or medicine;
- Previous research experience is a plus, but not required;
- Proficiency in Spanish a plus, but not required.
Duration and Compensation:
This internship is located in our DC office. Typically, the internship is a full-time, 4-12 week placement; however scheduling is negotiable. Compensation includes a small stipend and/or academic credit.
