The Child and Adolescent Action center is looking for a dedicated, creative, computer savvy intern to assist in the growth of the NAMI on Campus club (NoC) program.
What's in it for you? The NoC intern will have the opportunity to work on NAMI on Campus, a fast-growing national program for college students. The internship will allow you to develop the resources and information that will be distributed to students across the country. The NoC intern will be exposed to a variety of mental health awareness projects and have the ability to help shape the NAMI on Campus club program. This exciting internship will allow you to create a strategic approach to expanding the program and forming networks and alliances between and among existing campus clubs. The NoC intern will play a key role in helping students to raise mental health awareness and in the lives of college students throughout the country.
Who would you be working with? NAMI is the largest grassroots organization focused on improving the lives of millions of Americans affected by mental illness. This internship position is with NAMI's Child and Adolescent Action Center, which advocates at the federal and state levels on issues of importance to youth and young adults and develops programs to raise awareness of mental health conditions among this age group.
Internships are unpaid. The hours and days are flexible, however ideally the internship will run for approximately 10 weeks, with at least 10-20 hours/week. Actual days and times can be negotiated with the intern. Candidates should be either current college students or recent college graduates.
