Description

Today's global problems seem massive and unsolvable – it's easy for young people to get overwhelmed and turn away. Net Impact recently launched the Small Steps, Big Wins Campus Challenge, an international competition that will inspire students to "take the first step" in making a difference by offering a fun, competitive competition consisting of small, simple actions that collectively can have a big social and environmental impact.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated individual to support the Campaign team on program management, outreach and communications. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience in youth engagement, digital and email marketing, and social media.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Campaign program manager with various tasks, including prize and "small step" management, updates to campaign website
  • Create content for delivery through campaign Facebook and Twitter channels
  • Assist in execution of outreach and communication plan; writing and proofreading communications
  • Additional responsibilities aligned with interest and skills

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree preferred
  • Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Understanding of social media universe
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented, rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills: written, oral, and in-person
  • A collaborative work style and the ability to either take direction or work independently as the situation requires
  • Computer-proficiency, particularly MS Office. Adobe Creative Suite, and HTML a plus
  • Enthusiastic commitment to Net Impact's mission
