VOLUNTEER HOST

Responsibilities:
Is responsible for hosting a volunteer project on a regular basis Is responsible for handing out all NYSOM materials provided in Host Kit ( Code of conduct for new volunteers, Name Tags, Sign in Sheet) Supports cross-promotional opportunities across NYSOM entities to drive tune-in and awareness of NYSOM initiatives Individual Volunteer Relations: Serve as the relationship manager for all individual volunteers and upper management (project coordinators); Maintain the volunteer section of the database and website, and the volunteer registration system for all volunteer events and activities. Oversee volunteer performance at community events. Assist in the recruitment of new volunteers & maintain a encouraging relationship with volunteers for each community event.
Preferred Qualifications:
Cultural sensitivity and excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; ability to work in a team. Knowledge of volunteerism and volunteer management practices Candidate should be highly passionate about Community Activism and community development Self-starter Internet savvy Excellent communication skills Familiarity with social media and Email Communications Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Willingness to travel to event locations as needed Flexible and adaptable work schedule for changing business demand Positive attitude, entrepreneurial spirit and flexibility
