At Emerge, you'll gain valuable skills and experience and be an important member of a national network that is transforming the face of American politics.

Who We Are

Emerge America is a candidate training program for Democratic women. The essential step for Democratic women who want to run for public office – Emerge is the only in‐depth, seven‐month training program that inspires women to run and gives them the tools to win. Currently operating in ten states, our mission is to increase the number of Democratic women in all levels of Public office. The Opportunity

We are seeking self‐motivated interns to play an integral role in our organization.

Basic Duties:

- Learning & using NGP (Democratic campaign database)
- Assisting with communication strategies including a monthly newsletter, national press list, press releases & media advisories
- Providing support for fundraising & annual event planning
- Enhancing use of social media strategies & updating website content
- Researching & tracking alumnae updates, stories & successes
- Assisting with special projects & support to state staff
- Filing, mailing & data entry as needed
- Volunteering at Emerge and other local Democratic events

Qualifications:

- Passionate about the advancement of women in politics
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office
- Familiar with general office operations
- Professional and clear communication skills
- Familiar with social media technologies
- Html experience a plus (not required)
- This position will require a commitment of 8 to 20 hours each week, for a minimum of three months. Hours & timeframe can be flexible to accommodate a class schedule.
- We are also happy to work with you to earn college credit.
