The SDRVC is seeking highly-organized and self-motivated individual to assist our Development and Communications Department. The Development and Communications Intern will assist with community outreach and fundraising events and day-to-day office activities.
Qualifications:
Undergraduate with an interest in environmental conservation, ecology, biology, botany and/or related fields. Candidates must be available to work a minimum of 8-10 hours per week for three months during standard business hours Monday through Friday 9:00-5:00 pm and special events and meet-up hikes during the evenings and weekends.
Competencies:
Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Interpersonal Skills: Open and adaptable to new ideas and processes; not afraid to ask questions.
Teamwork: Ability to work individually on a project or in a team environment; comfortable in a small business/nonprofit environment.
Professionalism: Approaches others and their work in a professional manner; follows through on commitments.
Communication Skills: Writes and speaks clearly and informatively; varies writing style to meet audience needs.
