The Organization
Meals On Wheels of San Francisco is committed to the belief that all seniors have the right to live independently with dignity and respect in their own homes for as long as it is safely possible. It is our mission to provide isolated homebound seniors in San Francisco with nutritious meals, daily human contact, and supportive services to prevent their premature institutionalization. We believe in delivering more than a meal - we are nourishing the whole person.
The Position
We are looking for an outgoing and enthusiastic student to help us give presentations to our community and corporate group supporters. You will be in charge of conducting one of our most popular, one-time volunteering activity, Arts & Crafts for Seniors!
This position may also be considered an internship for students interested in advocating for a non-profit organization.
This is a great way to learn about and work with a very well-organized non-profit agency and gain experience in public speaking.
Please be sure to contact our Manager of Volunteer Engagement, Danie at dbelfield@mowsf.org with a copy of your resume and a little paragraph about why you are interested!
