Internship description

We are seeking a creative professional to assist our Communications and Marketing Manager in generating content for our communications (Internet, social media, marketing material, press relations, advertising, publications…). This internship is ideal for anyone pursuing a degree in communications, marketing, public relations, English, computer science, liberal arts or related studies. You will get real-world experience in a fast-paced environment. Internships may vary in length depending on your schedule, interest and abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • 40% Write, edit and publish on-line
  • 25% Social media engagement
  • 10% Research news stories, blogs, articles on new initiatives and trends
  • 10% Email marketing
  • 10% Organize content on websites, databases, social media
  • 5% Brand guidelines application

Qualifications:

  • College student or recent graduate
  • Pursuing a degree in communications, marketing, public relations, English, computer science, liberal arts or related studies. Preference given to candidates with interest in sustainability marketing and communications.

Required skills and experience:

  • Exceptionally good written and verbal communications skills
  • Expert knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint
  • Social media experience: Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn
  • Taste for design, graphic design, and beauty in simplicity
  • Extremely well organized and ability to research

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Experience with Drupal and Wordpress
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience in developing marketing materials, working with videos, podcasting, blogs, web content management, graphics and email systems
  • Basic HTML experience
