Internship description

The Development intern will perform key functions needed to operate the Development Office. Ongoing responsibilities will include:
- Preparing solicitation letters
- Making thank you phone calls
- Researching gran/funding opportunities
- Updating donor records in our database
- Preparing grant applications
Additional special projects will be assigned as needed.

Learn about all functions of a development office, including annual fund, grantwriting, sponsorships, and special events. Experience other areas of not-for-profit administration through interactions with Marketing, Programming, Guest Services, and other staff.

Excellent customer service, professionalism, and attention to detail required. Strong research and writing skills required. Studies in business, sales, marketing, not-for-profit administration, arts or communications preferred.
