Wide Angle Youth Media is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that trains middle school and high school students in Baltimore to create media about their lives and communities. Founded in 2000, Wide Angle has worked with over 1,800 young people to create more than 75 videos about local community issues. College credit is available. Interning at Wide Angle Youth Media is a great opportunity to work closely with a small, dedicated group of youth media educators and to learn more about youth media as a tool for social justice. For more information on our organization, go to www.wideanglemedia.org!
The non-profit management intern will work closely with the Executive Director, learning the ins and outs of managing an educational non-profit. The intern will learn about donor cultivation, soliciting corporate sponsorship, budgeting, program evaluation and strategic planning.
Time commitment: 10-15 hours/wk. This internship starts in the fall.
Submit a cover letter, resume and work sample (if available) to info@wideanglemedia.org. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
