Internship description

Today, recent advances in internet technology have allowed community based organizations to reach larger audiences and serve greater numbers than ever before.

i.c.stars|* is an organization committed to social justice and believes technology is a powerful enabler for this cause. We train adults passionate about community organizing in technology.

i.c.stars|* is now hiring for our next cycle of paid technology interns - scheduled to begin in Spring 2013. No technology background required. A high school diploma or GED and a desire to change the world is required.

The program begins with a paid 16-week internship that immerses participants into the technology sphere. Skills gained during the training period include .NET & Java programming, Open Source Web Development, business plan writing, internet marketing and database administration.
