International Visitors Program Intern
For nearly 90 years the Cleveland Council on World Affairs (CCWA) has served as the resource for increasing understanding of international affairs and creating globally minded citizens in Northeast Ohio.
CCWA inspires engagement in international affairs through a vibrant lecture series, educational outreach to schools and universities, opportunities to engage in citizen diplomacy and forums for public dialogue. CCWA has a long and successful tradition of providing meaningful and engaging intern experiences for undergraduate and graduate students. Often students are able to receive course credit for their CCWA internship.
This internship will specifically focus on the International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP). The International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) is the U.S. Department of State's premier professional exchange program. Through short-term visits to the United States, current and emerging foreign leaders in a variety of fields experience the United States firsthand and cultivate lasting relationships with their American counterparts. Professional meetings reflect the participants' professional interests and support the foreign policy goals of the United States.
- Spring internship, January-May, preferably 15-20 hours per week. (1 position)
- Summer internship, May-August, preferably 30 hours per week. (2 positions)
- Fall internship, Sept.-Dec., preferably 15-20 hours per week.(1 position)
