Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) is a large, non for profit, organization with Headquarters in White Plains, NY. We are currently searching for a full-time, Program Coordinator to work in White Plains, NY.
Exciting opportunity to work in the field of autism. This is a full time, 35 hour per week position combining administrative and direct practice. The Coordinator is expected to work at least one evening per week. The position includes providing extensive information and referral services, workshops, community trainings, family activities, facilitating groups for parents, siblings and grandparents, and creating a professional symposium. The Coordinator will connect with community-based organizations. The Coordinator will participate as a member of a professional team and will provide individual and group clinical treatment services to individuals with developmental disabilities.

The candidate must be an innovative, dynamic and experienced professional, able to deliver direct services as well as complete administrative tasks.

General Statement of Duties:
• Plan, organize, coordinate and direct implementation the Center's programs
• Facilitate groups, develop family programs, speakers, conferences, and other special events
• Provide counseling services to children and adults on an individual and group basis.
• Provide extensive information and referral services
• Interface with community and funding agencies

Qualifications and Skills Required:
• Licensed social worker or psychologist
• Strong knowledge of autism spectrum disorders
• Experience working with children on the autism spectrum and their families
• Strong administrative, managerial and supervisory skills.
• Good computer, oral and written communication skills
• Spanish-speaking is a plus
• Experience in facilitating groups
• Knowledge of community resources and benefits and systems
• Ability to travel to program and meeting sites.
