Reports To: PUSH Senior Program Manager

ABOUT PUSH

PUSH - Preparing Urban Students for Success in High School and Higher Education was developed to improve high school and college graduation rates, as well as to develop college ready behaviors, realistic career goals and an understanding of the connections between college completion and job market competitiveness. PUSH College provides customized case management around academic, navigation and social emotional transitions to and through college along with civic engagement and leadership development.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Overview The PUSH College Success Coachserves as a critical member of a growing team of professionals committed to the success of urban students in Boston. Specifically focusing on our work with college students, this position works closely with local colleges, community organizations and professional groups to implement the PUSH program to college students year round. The PUSH College Success Coach is responsible for customized case management, civic engagement and leadership development of program participants.

Summary of Responsibilities

-Provide customized case management for approximately 50 college students

-Conduct data collection, assessment and evaluation of program elements and program participants.

-Assist in creation and implementation of civic engagement and leadership development elements of program

-Facilitate weekly contacts with program participants on and off campus

-Coordinate recruitment annually to build program in accordance with organizational goals.

-Collaborate with the post-secondary education partners in connecting students to campus-based resources

-Actively collaborate with all Success Boston partners to accomplish initiative-wide goals

-Build and strengthen relationships with all post-secondary educational partners

-Assist the Program Manager in the overall operations of the program

-Performs additional duties as required

Summary of Qualifications

-Bachelor's Degree with at least 2 years work experience in youth development, education or case management. Masters Degree preferred

-Excellent interpersonal skills

-Good organizational skills with the ability of developing time lines and meeting deadlines

-Analytical and problem solving skills

-Able to work effectively with diverse populations

-Effective oral and written communication skills

-Innovative, works independently and is a team player

-Energetic, innovative and sense of humor

-Working knowledge of college application & financial aid process

-Position requires some evenings and weekends as needed.
