Then you should apply to be a teacher or adventure specialist at Yellow Breeches Educational Center (YBEC). The students whom we serve at YBEC have expereinced some serious trials in their short lives; the mission of YBEC is to get them back on solid footing and to allow them to grow and thrive.

To do this, our system provides small classroom sizes (6:1), optimum for building rapport. We use expereintial and adventure trips once per week to hook kids; a sample of our programing includes rock climbing, kayaking, surfing, skateboarding, skiing, Tae Kwon Do and more. We have a points and level system to hold our students accountable. We provide structure to teachers but allow them to be creative and innovate in how they reach learning objectives, and we provide a solid, individualized special education program. This program really changes lives.

YBEC is a day school, and the school year is about 180 days with students, and 195 total. So our staff have the summers off to pursue their own adventures.
