Job Summary:
The Network and Systems Administrator serves to enhance the Synagogue's use of all Information Technology systems; including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, network and server infrastructure. This person in this role will report to the Chief Information Officer and provide Tier 2 support to users and other Information Technology staff, as needed.
The Network and Systems Administrator will be responsible for suggesting, introducing, developing and maintaining new technologies into the existing environment so as to simplify, make efficient and save on costs related to Information Technology. This position will also manage relationships with vendors, internal and external technical support to ensure quality of service for Central Synagogue's technical infrastructure. This position will handle HelpDesk requests in conjunction with the Technology Coordinator, as needed.
This position will support the ever-changing technology needs of the Synagogue, its members, clergy, senior leadership and staff.

Expected to work on High Holy Days (Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur) and other holidays and major events as needed Monday – Thursday, 9:00am – 5:30pm
Friday, 9:00am – 4:30pm
Essential Functions:
- Design, install and maintain network infrastructure
- Recommend and implement appropriate software for monitoring
- Maintain and manage firewalls, switches and load balancers
- Maintain and configure wireless controller and Access Points
- Recommend and implement appropriate backup software, procedures and standards
- Manage helpdesk workflow
- Provide Tier 2 technical support to users
- Recommend system builds for desktops, laptops, mobile devices and server infrastructure
