Description

Inwood House, a 183 year old child welfare and youth development organization specializing in working with pregnant and parenting teens in NYC, is searching for a dynamic, creative, energetic and passionate individual for the position of Foster Parent Recruiter. The Foster Parent Recruiter is a member of the Interdisciplinary Team that works with pregnant and parenting teens, their infants and families or foster families to ensure a positive adjustment or readjustment to living together. The Foster Parent Recruiter is responsible for the strategic planning of the identifying, recruiting, training and prospective foster parents for the Inwood House Mother Child Foster Care Program and is responsible for engaging in all foster home finding activities inclusive of, but not limited to: the strategic planning of the recruitment of prospective foster families; conducting prospective applicant Orientation meetings and assist of GPSII MAPP Training; responsible for attending all community and city wide meetings as it relates to foster parent recruitment; plan and attend recruitment events and forums at a community and city-wide level; create and maintain reporting systems that capture recruitment efforts; perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Program Director and/or Senior Management.

Minimum Requirements: BS/BSW, MSW or related degree preferred in Psychology, Human Services and or Social Work and three years work experience in a social service setting; candidate must have knowledge of ACS Foster Care Regulations; bilingual English/Spanish a plus. Some weekend and evening hours required.
