Develop and implement development strategies to increase the number of corporate partners with Safe Horizon and increase the overall net revenue of corporate development
Essential Job Functions:
- Manage the creation and expansion of both local and national corporate partnerships for the purpose of raising funds for Safe Horizon while meeting the goals and expectations of corporate partners
- Develop a cohesive marketing and outreach plan for corporate development targeting corporations most aligned with Safe Horizon's mission and needs
- Manage the promotion of SafeWork and its expansion into corporations to raise the profile of the program and raise more revenue through its implementation
- Supervise staff
- Manage and expand cause related marketing relationships with corporate partners
- Manage the expansion of workplace giving and matching gifts with corporate partners
- Write and develop corporate proposals for foundation funding and sponsorships
- Identify corporate prospects, research their areas of support, cultivate relationships with key gatekeepers, prepare proposals, make the case for their participation, execute the program and manage the relationships to ensure fulfillment of deliverables.
- Manage the creation and development of solicitation, marketing, media and collateral materials related to corporate partnerships and cause related marketing based on strategic philanthropic and marketing objectives in order to meet annual financial support goals for the organization.
- Collaborate closely with SH program and consultants to develop & structure sponsorship opportunities
- Ensure fulfillment of corporate sponsorship deliverables in collaboration with other departments
- Create corporate volunteer opportunities for the corporate volunteer program and work with the individual volunteer coordinators for other individual opportunities
- Assist in securing funds for Agency's special events through event underwriting, event sponsors, table, committee and ticket contributions from corporate partners
- Provide support to Chief Development Officer on additional fundraising endeavors as needed.
- Develop and monitor budget for corporate funding
- Negotiate contracts and manage vendor/consultant relationships
- Complete other duties as assigned and appropriate
Knowledge and Skills:
Required:
- Comfortable working with various constituencies and skilled in articulating the mission of Safe Horizon in a manner that generates supportive responses.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment and manage multiple demands.
- Excellent writing skills required, including general correspondence, solicitations, marketing and major sponsorship proposals.
- Work well independently as well as in a collaborative team-oriented environment.
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of three years progressive experience in development, marketing, sales/corporate relations or equivalent field.
- Managing a small staff and outside consultants.
- Proven fundraising track record working with individuals and corporations.
