Experience: Three to five years' experience with non-profit operations including supervision of professional staff and volunteers.
Description: The Philadelphia Affiliate is seeking a committed, responsible, energetic and professional individual to assist in the fight against breast cancer. Under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, the Operations and Volunteer Manager is responsible for the overall management and direction of the administrative, human resources, grant-making, development, and educational activities of the Philadelphia affiliate. The position requires that the incumbent act as a credible resource person who represents and implements all aspects of the Susan G. Komen mission.
Requirements: Exceptional organization, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. Bachelor's degree in non-profit management, planning public administration, social science or related field required. Master's degree preferred. Three to five years' experience with non-profit operations including supervision of professional and volunteer staff. Demonstrated leadership success in non-profit areas of human resources, grant management and project management. Working knowledge of human resources practices, employment law, employee benefit plans and employee evaluation. Experience evaluating and recommending options for office technology and software. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Raiser's Edge and Convio Teamraiser a plus. Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize tasks and be flexible. Also required is the ability to work some evenings and weekends and travel for national meetings and trainings.
