Bookkeeper/Secretary – Part Time
Bronx based, Non-Profit Organization seeks part time Secretary/Bookkeeper for NYC Department for the Aging funded Senior Center. Experience working with older adults and accounts payable, cash receipts, bank reconciliations and working with auditors preferable.
Duties and responsibilities also include but are not limited to answering phones, ability to work in fast paced environment, properly provide documentation of necessary reports and clerical support to Senior Services as needed.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of Ms Office and QuickBooks (or other similar accounting software)
Experience with grant accounting, particularly DFTA
Excellent Interpersonal skills
Social service experience preferred, bilingual preferred
Superior attention to detail
Must have the ability to multi task
Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Publisher required
Associates degree or equivalent work experience required.
Employee will be expected to work Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and some weekends.
