Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County (NLSLA), one of California's most prominent non-profit, public interest law firms for the past 48 years, is seeking a Development Director. The Development Director is responsible for the design, implementation and management of a comprehensive development program, including a short and long term development plan, a private donor campaign, as well as fundraising and annual campaign events and proposals to corporate and private foundations. She/he is expected to work closely with the Board of Directors, is a member of the NLSLA Senior Administrative Team and reports to the Executive Director. The Director will oversee a 2-3 person development staff. The position is available as of April 1 and will remain open until filled.
Qualifications: Minimum 8 years experience with non-profit development or fundraising, with at least three years experience as a Development Diector. Bachelor of Arts required, graduate degree strongly preferred. Strong oral and inter-personal skills, creative and artistic as well as excellent writing skills. Bilingual capacity helpful.

NLSLA has a highly diverse staff of 100+ and a 2013 operating budget of $13 million dollars. There are three primary offices: Pacoima, in the Northeast San Fernando Valley, Glendale in the center of the county and El Monte, in the San Gabriel Valley. A separate Administrative Office is located upstairs in NLSLA's Adams Square Building in Glendale, where the Development Director's office is located.
