Homes for the Homeless, Inc. offers family shelter services and a continuum of educational services for children on site, from infant development to adolescent dropout prevention. The core of our child programming is made up of preschool programs, accelerated after school education, and constructive recreational programming.
The after school program at Saratoga Family Inn, located in Jamaica, Queens, provides a safe and friendly environment for resident and community children where they can be enriched in a variety of academic and extracurricular activities.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and creative part-time assistant group leader for our after school program. This is an excellent position for a college student or professional interested in working with K-12 aged students outside of the traditional classroom setting.
Specific duties include but are not limited to the following:
Work hours are 2:30pm – 6:30pm Monday - Friday during the school year and flexible during the summer. Must be available to work on some Saturdays.
