Silicon Valley FACES specializes in social-emotional learning activities that ignite empathy in youth. We are seeking a full-time Camp Director for our most impactful program, Camp Everytown. Camp Everytown is a 4-day, 3 night residential camp for high school students and staff that focuses on leadership and diversity. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with high school teachers and students, facilitating large group discussions and working in a non-traditional setting. We are looking for someone who has energy to spare, a deep passion for changing the world and is not afraid of hard work. Reporting to the Education Director, the Camp Director is responsible for providing a unique camp experience to the delegates and participants of Camp Everytown. The Director will be responsible for the facilitation of Camp Everytown curriculum, site management during each scheduled Camp, and curriculum development. The Camp Director will identify student leaders in each camp and will work with each school's follow-up plan throughout the school year. The Camp Director will serve as a liaison to the community for SV FACES.

Duties Include The Following: - Facilitate Camp Everytown curriculum for schools identified. - Outreach to local schools and organizations to secure paying clients and meet strategic goals for Camp Everytown. - Create new curriculum as needed for groups/schools to meet individual needs. - Work with the school site staff and student leaders to create a follow-up curriculum for each school that attends Camp. - Act as agency liaison to schools for follow-up activities including "Not in our School Week" - Work with the Education Director to represent SV FACES with external constituency groups, including school personnel, community, governmental and private organizations - Participate in obtaining funds and grants for the educational programs

Qualifications and Experience: Facilitation and Curriculum skills - Personal qualities of integrity, credibility and commitment to the mission of SV FACES. - Bachelor's level education required, MSW or LCSW strongly preferred - Experience in a flexible, fast-paced workplace with many moving parts and little supervision - Proven track record of increased income for agency through sales and marketing required. - Ability to work independently and on a team to create curriculum to meet individual client needs - Ability to be flexible in work environment and content - Excellent time management skills required - Ease with crisis intervention and mandated reporting requirements - Passion for working with and in high schools - Experience in camp management preferred, particularly with youth - Experience working in the area of diversity or other social justice issues - Sense of humor and ability to laugh at oneself highly preferred

Minimum Qualifications and Experience: - Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to camps and events are required - Able to work in all weather conditions - Able to work with sound systems and an Ipod - Performance of duties and tasks includes standing for long periods, bending and lifting - Directors stay at campsite (in cabin) for duration of every Camp Everytown session. Must be able to lift and carry 25 lbs. repeatedly (arranging tables and chairs repeatedly) - Be willing and able to set-up and clean-up facilities as needed - Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred. - Proficient in Microsoft Office, email and social media (Facebook and Twitter) - Required to be on-call for 96 hours straight during each Camp, with somewhat frequent interruptions of sleep, rest and meal times - Individual must complete a rigorous background investigation which includes fingerprinting.
