Assistant Development Officer for Events/Development

General Description:

Providing administrative support to the Deputy Chief Development Officer for Events, the Assistant Development Officer also assists on administrative and logistical aspects of planning and executing 5 annual benefit events and support on 40 special events annually, as well as assisting with the administration of the Chairman's Council and Met Family Circle.    

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist in coordination of Benefit Committees, letters of invitation and monitoring of responses
  • Assist in invitation list management and monitoring of responses
  • Assist in benefit ticket sales/income reporting, preparation of ticket mailing and acknowledgements, ticket sales reporting, and coordination of dinner calligraphy
  • Assist with servicing the Chairman's Council and Met Family Circle, including preparation of renewal letters and membership materials, tracking renewals, preparing monthly income reports and Annual Report lists
  • Other related duties

Requirements and Qualifications:

Experience and Skills:

  • Assist in coordination of Benefit Committees, letters of invitation and monitoring of responses

Knowledge and Education:

  • BA required
  • Computer literacy and knowledge of data management software (MS Word, Excel, MS Access) required and general office skills essential
