International Human Resources Associate

Description

The William J. Clinton Foundation is currently seeking an International Human Resources (HR) Associate for approximately 6-12 months. S/he will support the Senior International HR Manager and Chief Human Resources Officer on a range of international HR projects such as:

  • Researching and summarizing local country labor, immigration, and tax requirements
  • Preparing employment contracts and statutory notices
  • Researching compensation and benefits benchmarking information for local countries and analyzing position levels, salary ranges and pay recommendations.
  • Helping maintain the Foundation's HR compliance with applicable statutes.
  • Administering international HR policies and procedures, including responding to manager and employee inquiries and requests, drafting contracts, and helping with on-boarding and or terminations.
  • Administering the HR aspects of organizational changes in the international initiatives and offices, including secondments, transfers, hires and terminations.
  • Assisting with other administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

For this position, we seek the following background:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in a human resources-related discipline.
  • Professional designation, such as GPHR/PHR certification, helpful.
  • A minimum 2-3 years of demonstrated accomplishment in human resources ideally with knowledge and experience in international HR, or equivalent working knowledge.
  • Previous non-profit experience is highly desirable.
  • International NGO experience also helpful.
  • A solid knowledge of human resource functions, policies and procedures and the versatility and the resourcefulness needed to operate effectively as part of a small human resources team.
  • Good general knowledge of international employment laws and practices, compensation, benefits, recruitment, employee relations, and management and employee development.
  • Able to independently research international and domestic HR issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and meet competing priorities in a fast-paced and culturally diverse environment.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Workday is helpful.
  • Versatile HR generalist skills and the flexibility to handle HR projects over the scope of HR disciplines.
  • Strong quantitative, verbal and written communications skills.

Physical and Other Requirements

  • Significant computer work, which may require repetitive motion, prolonged periods of sitting, and sustained visual and mental applications and demands.

This positions reports to the Sr. International HR Manager and is overtime eligible.
