Benefits Data Trust, a rapidly growing, national not-for-profit organization, is committed to transforming how people in need access public benefits. We are looking for qualified individuals to serve as Benefits Outreach Specialists (BOS). Ideal candidates are results-driven, articulate, energetic, and possess a willingness to assist the populations we serve. The primary responsibility of BOS is to clearly provide public benefit education and application assistance to low-income people over the telephone through a mix of inbound and outbound calls in a call center environment. BOS also spend a portion of their time handling paperwork and entering data into a variety of systems.
•Outstanding communication skills (listening, needs assessment, empathy)
•Superb attention to detail and critical thinking skills
•Strong computer skills including MS Office
•Ability to work as a positive team member in a productive environment
•Prior non-profit/social service and/or call center experience preferred
•High School diploma required, college degree preferred
•Bilingual a plus
Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET.
