SFMOMA Donor Information Services Manager

Description

The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art is seeking a full-time Donor Information Services Manager. Under the direction of the Associate Director of Donor Information Services, the Donor Information Services Manager is responsible for managing the day to day administrative operations of the Donor Information Services division. The manager oversees daily gift processing, record management, database reporting, and reconciliation of the museum's fundraising efforts. The manager also serves as the primary liaison with the membership, finance, and IT departments in activities related to the core operations of the Donor Information Services team.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage Donor Information Services operations to ensure the timely and accurate processing, receipting, and acknowledgment of the museum's fundraising efforts. Manage, train, and develop Donor Records team in all aspects of data entry, batching, biographical updates, data extractions, and systems-related functions. Ensures cross-training takes place as appropriate. Develop and perform daily and weekly audits to ensure the integrity and security of all biographical and gift records. Oversee duplicate record managements and perform other quality control measures. Maintain reports and statistics to monitor data integrity and Donor Records team performance targets; develop strategies to improve data integrity. Coordinate and fulfill data file requests. Develop, maintain, and disseminate reports, recognition lists, mailing lists, renewals and solicitations. Working with IT, coordinate database health screenings, and software and hardware updates. Working with the Associate Director of Donor Information Services, develop and coordinate on-going training and support to museum-wide database users. Under the guidance of the Associate Director of Donor Information Services, oversee the administration and receipting of all gifts and pledges to ensure proper acceptance, recording, and reporting of contributed revenue in accordance with museum policy, state and federal laws, and IRS regulations. Working with the Associate Director of Donor Information Services and informed by industry best practices, develop and maintain policies, procedures, and training materials related to Donor Information Services operations and systems-related functions. Identifies and implements activities to increase division efficiency and improve workflow. Collaborate with database users to coordinate activities related to updating and maintaining records. Collaborate with Development staff and vendors in the production of donor member, and prospect solicitations and other communications. Act as division head in the absence of the Assistant Director of Donor Information Services. Staff Museum events, including evening and weekend events, as required. Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Training: Bachelors degree or equivalent training/qualification

Experience: Two to four years progressively responsible experience using fundraising databases, Raiser's Edge preferred; one to two years supervisory experience.

Skills and Abilities:

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills Advanced knowledge of fundraising stems, development services best practices, and accounting and IRS regulations related to charitable giving. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to speak effectively before groups or individuals Tact, sound judgment, diplomacy, and sensitivity in handling confidential and personal information Ability to work in a fast-paced office setting, balance competing priorities, and assimilate a large and complex amount of information Proven ability to train, motivate, and manage staff, particularly in a high volume data entry environment Service-oriented attitude with special attention to timeliness and precision Advanced skills in use of MS Office WORKING CONDITIONS:
