FACULTY AFFAIRS ASSISTANT
NYU STERN SCHOOL OF BUSINESS
NYU's prestigious Leonard N. Stern School of Business has an opening available for a Faculty Affairs Assistant. This position will assist the Office of Faculty Affairs with scheduling meetings, internal and external correspondence and other clerical tasks. The Assistant will also: maintain faculty records system; schedule and plan faculty seminars and other Stern events; coordinate the faculty promotion and tenure process (compiling documents, communicating with external reviewers, scheduling meetings, tracking workflow); coordinate all aspects of the annual academic departmental review; consult with administrative offices to improve practices and resolve problems; monitor current and implement new office policies and procedures. Enter data into database. Assist with faculty housing tasks. Supervise work study student on clerical tasks such as filing, organizing documents, etc. S/he must have superb attention to detail, organization, interpersonal and communication and skills. S/he must have excellent writing, proofreading and editing skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required. Two years of office experience required with Associate's degree. One year of office experience required with Bachelor's degree.
