Teach Away in Malaysia! Teach Away is accepting applications for English Language Professional (ELP) positions to work within a cluster of Malaysian government schools. The aim of ELPs will be to help improve literacy and English language instruction within these government schools. This new project aims to create better opportunities for Malaysians in both education and employment. Working with approximately 75 Malaysian colleagues in a cluster of approximately 15 schools, ELPs will be responsible for helping implement teacher professional development programs. The ultimate goal is to upgrade English proficiency levels, and the teaching methodologies of local teachers. ELPs will also be expected to act as both resource and adviser to school management on how to improve the school's English program both inside and outside of the classroom. Applicants should be experienced ESL instructors and must possess a recognized ESOL qualification such as TESOL, CELTA, DELTA. Also, a minimum of 3 years teaching English or ESL to young learners is required. Previous experience in Southeast Asia is a plus.
