The Stanford University Center for Innovation in Global Health (CIGH) strives to enable collaborative programs in global health for residents, medical students and undergraduates by reaching across geographic, cultural, economic and gender boundaries to inspire a new generation of global health leaders by creating partnered programs which build capacity both overseas and in the US in underserved low resource communities
The Global Health Education Manager at the Center for Innovation in Global Health, works with faculty and staff across the University. The main duties of this position will be to help develop and manage global health education and training programs across departments in the School of Medicine, organize global health events, develop strategic educational initiatives, oversee and supervise the maintenance of the Center for Innovation in Global Health website, calendar of events and communications.
Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor's degree and minimum of three years of experience with program development and implementation. • General background knowledge of and interest in global health issues • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills Ability to design and implement and social media communications • Strong organization and prioritization skills, with a high degree of initiative and follow through. Strong organization and prioritization skills, with high initiative and follow through. • Good judgment when handling sensitive and/or confidential material • Ability to work successfully with students, residents, faculty members and partners from other institutions. • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, online evaluation and data systems, including the ability to create spreadsheets with basic formulas and calculations. Proficient in Dreamweaver.
Desired:
• Master's degree • Five years of experience with program development, four plus years developing educational programs and a master's degree. • Grant writing and post award budget administration. • Website development and supervisory experience. • Bilingual written and verbal skills. • Highly prefer experience in medical education, particularly curriculum development.
