POSITION DESCRIPTION

TITLE: Housing Subsidy Administrator

POSITION TYPE: Full-Time, Salaried

SUPERVISOR: hief of Housing

SITE LOCATION: 801 Pennsylvania Avenue, SE Suite #360 Washington DC 20003

QUALIFICATIONS:

College degree or related work experience required. Advanced computer knowledge with

emphasis on database management required. Experience with housing subsidy database

systems a plus. Must have excellent communication and customer service skills and the ability to

multi task, be detailed oriented and capable of operating in a fast paced work environment.

POSITION FUNCTIONS:

The Housing Subsidy Administrator is responsible for ensuring all housing subsidy data is entered into the agency's program database. In collaboration with agency housing staff, the Housing Subsidy Administrator will ensure data is accurate and entered into the program database timely.

SALARY RANGE: $45,000 - $55,000

POSITION PROGRAM/SUBSIDY PORTFOLIO:

Chronic Homeless Initiative 1, 2 and 5, Community Based Units, Family Re-housing Stabilization Program (FRSP), Homeward, Local Rent Subsidy Program, Permanent Supportive Housing Program, Shelter Plus Care, Short Term Lease Units, System Transformation Initiative.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Primary point of contact for all housing subsidy payment related ,matters;

- Process initial housing payments to include prorates, security deposits and first month rent;

- Forward TCP payment confirmation notices to landlords, providers and clients;

- Generate monthly payment rosters for provider verification and approval;

- Forward TCP payment confirmation notices to landlords, providers and clients;;

- Process monthly program subsidy payments for more than 1000 participants;

- Work directly with agency housing staff to ensure all required program data is entered into the program database accurately and timely;

- Quality control payment related requests prior to submission to the Chief of Housing for approval;

- Generate subsidy payment reports as required and requested;

- Adhere to all agency Housing and Finance Department deadlines to ensure timely payment processing and distribution;

- Forward TCP payment termination notices to providers, tenants and landlords as required;

- Other duties as assigned.
