Director of Network Foster Care

Job Summary:

• Co-lead the design and implementation of a network-wide Foster Care & Permanency Supports service within Rhode Island's multi-agency Network system.
• Provide administrative oversight to a statewide multi-agency Network providing Foster Care Services, and oversee all day-to-day administrative operations of Foster Care Services and Permanency Supports.
• Plan and lead monthly Foster Care meetings to assure adequate communication and coordination of services.
• Act as the liaison to Network Foster Care Providers and to Adoption Rhode Island with participation in weekly meetings regarding services/clients.
• Assist Senior Vice President of Network and DCYF on Permanency Practices and the ongoing initiatives of achieving permanency for all children: organize and implement Permanency Round Tables, Permanency Teams and Permanency Options.

Requirements:

• Master Degree in Social Work or a Social Science field of study that is closely related to the duties required.
• Knowledge of the DCYF system with demonstrated success in administering programs for children and families required.
• Professional licensure strongly preferred (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT).
• Preferred five (5) years post graduate experience in the child welfare field.
• Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
• This position requires a valid driver's license, and candidates must submit to CANTS, BCI and fingerprinting background check.
• Due to the nature of the workflow and level of responsibility this individual maintains a flexible schedule, which includes alternating on-call duties as assigned.
