The World Food Programme (WFP) is the world's largest humanitarian agency, fighting hunger worldwide. We are currently seeking to fill the position of Staff Health Protection Advisor at P4 level, based at our Headquarters in Rome, Italy.
Experience:
At least 8 years of postgraduate progressively responsible clinical experience as a Medical Doctor/ Practitioner including at least 4 years of international experience in the occupational health field;
Administrative experience in the medical field including budgeting, supervisory responsibility and resource management;
Experience in emergency management (emergency/disaster medicine), travel medicine, tropical and infectious diseases is desirable;
Previous UN system/ international medical experience is desirable.

Ability to communicate orally and in writing on a wide range of issues;
Ability to effectively interact and work with colleagues within a multicultural environment;
Ability to work collaboratively with different units and colleagues to achieve organizational goals;
Language:
Working knowledge of English and intermediate knowledge of another UN official language (Arabic, French, Spanish, Russian or Chinese) or Portuguese as a WFP working language;
Intermediate knowledge of Italian is desirable.
