Job description

Kenmare High School, one of the 4 components of the York Street Project, sponsored by the Sisters of St Joseph of Peace, a non-profit, alternative high school for adult women ages 17 and older, is accepting applications for a full-time Community Liaison/ Student Advisor position for the 2013-2014 school years.

Applicant must have a strong desire to work in a mission driven organization and have excellent communication, organizational and collaborative skills. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, student & family advisement, support groups, case management, crisis intervention & community outreach, and record keeping. Experience working with adult women, career planning, and program outreach coordination a plus. Must be able to work in a multi-cultural environment & communicate effectively with students, teachers & staff.

Requirements: Non-profit program experience recommended, knowledge of Jersey City/ Hudson County community programs and services required, bachelors degree or a minimum of 5 years related job experience required.
