Duxbury Bay Maritime School in Duxbury Massachusetts needs rowing coaches for their high school team, adult program and summer program. We are a mid-sized club located 40 minutes south of Boston with a boathouse on the bay. We have a busy adult program, a high school team of 90 students that rows spring and fall seasons and a very large summer juniors program.
Requirements:
1. Willing to work with both adults and juniors.
2. Must have both sculling and sweep experience.
3. Must become CPR/First Aid Certified.
4. Must pass a CORI screening.
5. Must have USRowing certification or are willing to work towards it.
Responsibilities:
Be part of our amazing team! There is a large range of duties so you will never be bored such as teaching kayaking or standup paddleboarding! Salary is commensurate with experience with opportunities to earn additional income. We are hiring now as the high school team starts March 25 and the adult programs start the last week of April. You don't need to be a high level coach but you do need to be patient, enthusiastic, safe and responsible. We are willing to train the right person so if you don't have coaching experience but do have sculling and sweep experience – apply! We are extremely busy from March to November but the schedule eases up for the winter. Housing may be provided for the right candidate.
