Admissions Coordinator

The NYU Stern School of Business seeks an Admissions Coordinator to join a dynamic and collaborative team of high performing professionals in the MBA Admissions Office.

S/he will also recruit for Stern's MBA programs and help shape incoming classes. The selected candidate will interpret and communicate admissions criteria to prospective students; review and evaluate academic credentials of prospective students and assist with developing strategies for achieving enrollment goals. Other duties include administering the departmental budget and hosting on and off-site admissions events. There is also the potential to travel for recruiting and events.

The Coordinator will play a critical role in the operations of the Admissions department. Responsibilities include administering key components of the admissions process, corresponding with applicants and assisting with overall application processing and special projects.

Candidates will have a Bachelor's degree along with approximately 2 years of relevant work experience. Professional experience does not necessarily have to be in higher education or admissions, but must have a demonstrated track record of performance and the necessary transferrable skills. Excellent judgment, maturity, attention to detail, planning, organization, customer service orientation, interpersonal, presentation, writing and communication skills are required. Having great pride in the accuracy and quality of work produced is essential as is an operational, systems and procedural mindset.
