La Clínica del Pueblo, Inc. (LCDP) a bilingual, FQHC community health center in Washington, DC, providing culturally appropriate health services to persons in the Latino community, is seeking a qualified bilingual behavioral health professional.
Position Emphasis: To deliver brief services to patients and primary care providers using an integrated care model. To be a primary care team member in La Clinica del Pueblo Medical department, providing support to medical providers and patients, collaborating closely with the Patient Services and Mental Health Departments. To conduct screenings, brief assessments and diagnostic c consultations, medication adherence, education and crisis interventions as well as short-term brief therapy and referrals to other needed mental health services. Minimum Education Requirement: Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology. Minimum Qualifications: Licensed LICSW, LPC or Psychologist in the District of Columbia. Two years' experience providing individual, family and group therapy to the Latino population. Knowledge of evidence-based behavioral assessments and interventions relevant to medical conditions, e.g., disease management; treatment adherence; and lifestyle change; ability to make quick and accurate clinical assessments and initial diagnosis. Bilingual: Fluent in Spanish and English. Excellent writing skills. (Ability to work some evenings) Computer literate. Salary Range: $56,778 - $61,036. Closing Date: July 5, 2013, EOE.
