EDF's Membership Department solicits donations from millions of people each year. Membership staff work collaboratively with fundraising and IT experts to make sure we constantly improve how we serve our members. We are successful when no piece of mail is sent unnecessarily, member requests are accurately honored, and the results of fundraising campaigns are well understood and incorporated into the fundraising DNA of the organization. The Membership Segmentation Specialist uses database-query and relationship-management applications to help EDF communicate effectively with its donors. This position requires experience with direct-marketing segmentation strategies and a proven aptitude for using complex computer applications. EDF uses IBM Unica Campaign for many segmentations, writes its own Salesforce and IBM Cognos reports, and uses Convio Luminate as its online and CRM solution. Getting a large mailing done right requires attention to detail, inquisitiveness, problem-solving skills, and teamwork.
