We seek aTechnical Analyst who as a member of the IT team and under the direction of the Director of IT, works on technology infrastructure projects to support the Carnegie Hall Mission and provides technical support to users experiencing software and hardware problems. Major responsibilities include the following: Implement, upgrade, support and monitor IT infrastructure, including: network components, servers, workstations, and telephony services. Assist with the planning and participate in implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the LAN/WAN/WiFi networks. Provide end-user technical support for staff in the use of Microsoft Office Suite applications in a Windows Server Active Directory environment. Provide technical and operational support for staff in the use of various packaged and proprietary applications, including but not limited to Tessitura, OPAS, Artifax & Adobe Creative Suites. Configure, install, image, troubleshoot and repair end-user desktop workstations, laptops, Mitel desk phones and mobile phones.Assist and coordinate support with other members of the IT staff and outside vendors as required. Provide timely follow-up to users and management on all support issues. The Technical Analyst is required to provide after-hours support including weekends to the Ticket Operations, Interactive Services, and Hall Operations departments and is also assigned project-based work on an as-needed basis.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree is required, with a major in Computer Science or related field preferred. The successful candidate must have at least two-three years' experience supporting users at all levels, maintaining TCP/IP networks, and deploying IT solutions in a structured, cooperative environment. This person must exhibit strong aptitude for computing systems and technology, coupled with an excellent "desk-side manner." The successful candidate must also possess expertise in Microsoft Office applications, TCP/IP networking hardware and software (Cisco experience a plus), cabling infrastructure, firewalls, proxy servers, VoIP servers, and IIS servers. Ability to work flexible schedule as required. Thorough, detail-oriented, with a sense of humor and the ability to work with all levels of staff. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
