The Doe Fund is a leading New York City non-profit organization that operates the enormously popular and highly visible Ready, Willing & Able program, whose participants clean more than 1560 miles of streets and sidewalks every day. With a $50 million budget, over 400 staff members and 46,000 individual donors, The Doe Fund is nationally acclaimed as a work-based model for solving homelessness and criminal recidivism. We empower people to break the cycles of homelessness, welfare dependency, substance abuse, and incarceration through innovative work and housing programs.

The Sales and Marketing Manager will work to generate new business for our three social business ventures; Pest@Rest, Resource Recovery and the Back Office Mail Room. This position will be based out of our Executive Offices in Manhattan reporting to the Executive Vice President.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Development and implementation of a revenue focused, innovative, high-impact marketing and account development strategy.
  • Create marketing collateral for all three ventures including communications to existing clients and prospects.
  • Cross pollinate sales among existing clients.
  • Close cooperation with the Director of Business Development and Executive Vice President including the planning and organization of local sales conferences, presentations and collateral.
  • Management of Product related Public Relations
  • Developing new clients. Prospecting and pitching leads through cold calling; following up on leads via email, and telephone. Build and maintain existing relationships.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor Degree Preferred
  • Must have 3-5 Years proven sales track record with demonstrated growth in a related industry
  • Must have experience working in the pest control sector
  • Must have strong creative and writing skills—the ability to market the ventures across a diverse audience.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and possess strong decision-making, motivational, analytical and organizational skills
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills. Strong networking skills and creative problem solver
  • Efficient workload management - ability to manage time equally between the two businesses effectively
  • Innovative, compassionate, energetic and action-oriented leader committed to TDF's mission
  • Flexible, ability to multitask and to take ownership of assignments and enjoys working in a team-oriented environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to travel in the tri-state area.
  • Service oriented with a strong desire to excel and achieve results in a demanding and successful environment.
