Assistant Director, Planned Giving

Description

Oversee all aspects of WCS's planned giving program. Develop and implement strategies to maintain and grow the program, with an emphasis on taking a pro-active approach to building WCS's planned giving portfolio and commitments.

B.A./B.S. Required. Graduate/professional degree such as MBA or law degree preferred. Five (5) or more years of development experience, with at least 3 years of direct experience in planned giving; proven ability to achieve program and revenue growth by working directly with donors/prospects; experience managing the work of staff, outside consultants/vendors; expertise in and a sophisticated understanding of planned giving vehicles, estate planning and financial reporting and tax implications of various planned giving products and compliance; great attention to detail; strong interest in WCS mission. Legal background a plus. Well-traveled or at least a working knowledge of global issues and geography. Experience with Raisers Edge (or similar fundraising database), PG Calc and prospect research skills are preferred.
