Idealist.org is hiring talented software engineers to develop robust web systems that help people act on their intentions for the common good.
Description
We're looking for passionate software engineers — engineers at home with big datasets, distributed systems, high-performance backend code and hands-on experience inside live *nix production systems. Engineers who are also confident at the top of the stack, comfortable with markup, layout, and JavaScript client frameworks.
We live and breathe open source, and if you work here you'll be using all kinds of OSS projects and contributing patches (but you already do that, so no biggie right?) You're energetic, driven, and inquisitive, and you'll feel right at home on our dynamic agile development team.
If this sounds hip as disco, come join our Portland web engineering team. Here you can think big while also sweating the details. Your work can have an immediate impact!
