In the spirit of the mission of Project Transformation, the development associate is responsible for the planning, coordination, implemenation, and evaluation of all grant-writing, marketing, and public relations activities.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Research, write, and process proposals to all grant making entities.
2. Manage all data needed for grant submissions and reports.
3. Develop relationships with grant partners, staying current on board focus areas and initiatives.
4. Maintain donor records and recognition program.
5. Manage database entry for donors, creating reports for grants and mailings for individuals.
6. Responsible for all website updates (Wordpress site)
7. Coordinate all public relations activities including newspaper articles and the preparation and distribution the organization's print and e-newsletters.
8. Coordinate marketing efforts including updates to flyers and brochures.
9. Work with Director of Development, Executive Director and Board members to develop and implement the organization's funds development plan.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor's Degree; prefer at least 2 years experience in grant or technical writing in a development or related field.
2. Ability to represent Project Transformation's mission and programs to donors and volunteers.
3. Poised and comfortable in relating to a variety of people in multiple settings.
4. Excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Problem solver, self-starter who is well organized, methodical, and detail oriented.
6. Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
7. Preferred experience with database management, In Design, web publishing and social networking site management.
