Job Title: Senior Research Analyst, Severe Maternal Morbidity Surveillance

The Fund for Public Health in New York, Inc. (FPHNY) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is dedicated to the advancement of the health and well-being of all New Yorkers. To this end, in partnership with the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH), FPHNY implements programs to address pressing public health needs, fosters private sector support to enhance health and health care, and helps educate the public regarding the protection of individual, family and community health.
SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT
In order to better understand the prevalence of and circumstances associated with severe maternal morbidity (SMM) in New York City, BMIRH will conduct a two year, grant-funded surveillance project of these cases. Findings will inform practice guidelines, community education and policy interventions which aim to reduce such adverse pregnancy outcomes.
Reporting to the Director of Research and Evaluation, and working collaboratively with other research staff and the Surveillance Project Director, the Senior Research Analyst will identify, compile, clean, analyze, and present data on cases of severe maternal morbidity collected from multiple data sources.
