Responsibilities:
The National Latino Engagement Director will develop and execute a plan to mobilize and engage the Latino community, supporting Enroll America's mission to maximize the number of uninsured Americans who enroll in health coverage made available by the Affordable Care Act.The Director will work closely with other senior staff – the Field, Digital, and Communications Directors for instance – to ensure the Latino engagement is fully integrated into the organization's enrollment efforts. The Director will be responsible for the relationship building with Latino partners, developing a Latino outreach plan, and executing the implementation of the engagement plan with the Latino community.
Skills & Qualifications:
- A working knowledge of the structure of political and/or issue-based campaigns, as well as a familiarity with modern campaign technology
- Previous field leadership experience on electoral or issue-based campaign(s) a strong plus
- Proven experience developing and leading coalition-based efforts
- Ability to write a comprehensive, metrics-driven engagement plan
- Familiarity with team-based, volunteer-led organizing
- Understanding online organizing tools and tactics
- Strong problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to think creatively
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Being a self-starter and detailed oriented individual is necessary
- A good sense of humor and a strong commitment to making the world a better place are musts
- Experience and awareness of health coverage issues a plus
