Reporting to the Early Childhood Education Supervisor, the Early Childhood Education Specialist will provide on-site consultation, support, and other professional development activities at key collaborating early education and care centers in order to augment their capacity to address classroom management and behavioral issues so they better deal with children who have challenging behaviors thereby increasing children's capacity to learn. This support will include conducting classroom observations in order to develop strategies for improvement/change; administering environmental and other classroom assessments; providing trainings/workshops for providers; providing support to program directors; and writing all necessary reports.
Qualifications: Applicants must have a master's degree in education, or a closely related field and at least two years of experience in providing early childhood education or related services. A bachelor's degree with at least ten years of experience in early childhood education or related services may also be considered.
