Job description

The WTC Health Program, Program Manager is part-time (14 hrs / wk) and responsible for promoting, educating and bringing awareness to target populations/communities about the World Trade Center Health Program.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as principal liaison and point of contact with all internal and external agencies involved related to program policy, procedure, and operations.
  • Attend necessary stakeholder meetings related to the WTC Health Program.
  • Train, supervise and evaluate program staff in order to ensure program productivity and efficiency.
  • Lead the development of outreach and communications initiatives that will promote community awareness related to the WTC Health Program which provides eligible individuals with health and mental health/substance abuse services and treatment for 9/11 related issues.
  • Oversee staff compliance in meeting and reporting on deliverables, including coordinating the follow-up and tracking of interested individuals with application process for the WTC Health Program.
  • Ensure submission of all required reports under the contract: quarterly invoicing, six month reports, etc.

Required Skills:

  • Experience and high degree of comfort with public speaking, including media interviews and presentations to a variety of audiences and settings
  • Problem-solving skills; ability to communicate information clearly, accurately, and completely
  • Strong writing skills including experience in developing policy and procedures, management reports, etc.
  • Enthusiastic team-player and ability to work independently
  • Excellent supervisory, organizational and training skills
  • Ability to coordinate activities, evaluate data, and establish priorities; ability to meet deadlines and pro-actively troubleshoot challenges.

Qualifications:

Master's in Social Work, Public Health or related degree required, minimum two years post-graduate experience in program management/supervision.

Salary, Schedule & Travel:

Salary commensurate with experience. Part-time, 14 hours/week, based in New York City; travel to local events in New York City within 14 hours during some weekends/evenings required.
