St. HOPE Leadership Academy Charter School (SHLA) is expanding its current Electives teaching staff for the 2013-2014 academic year. We are seeking teachers for the following: music, dance, theater, technology (digital media, keyboarding and design), and foreign language (must be able to teach multiple languages).
Candidates must have appropriate teaching certification (or eligibility for certification) in New York State.
Salary is extremely competitive and commensurate with experience, 15% above DOE pay scale, with full benefits offered.

The school, which opened in the fall of 2008, provides a rigorous, standards-based curriculum, intensive interventions for students who are performing below grade level, a defined character development program, and extensive leadership development and community service opportunities in a structured learning environment.
