The National Alliance to Advance Adolescent Health, a non-partisan research and policy organization, is seeking a qualified individual to take a leadership role in the development and implementation of its public policy activities. Responsibilities include monitoring federal legislative and administrative policies; preparing comments and other position statements; developing policy proposals related to health care delivery, payment, and training; and building a partnership of national organizations and adolescent health centers to achieve better health outcomes for low income and minority adolescents.
Candidates should have at least 5 years of professional experience in policy analysis and legislative affairs and have a degree in law, public health, or public policy. Knowledge of Medicaid, CHIP, and health reform is essential. Excellent analytic and problem solving skills; creativity and leadership; knowledge of the legislative process; knowledge of health issues affecting low-income and minority youth; and excellent written and verbal skills required. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Part-time position will be considered.
