Description

St. HOPE Leadership Academy Charter School (SHLA) is seeking a Math Coach to lead our team of talented, driven math teachers for the 2013-2014 school year.

This individual will lead our math teachers' professional development, curriculum design, and data analysis with the goal of preparing our scholars for the rigors of high school, college preparatory math.

The ideal candidate will be a master teacher and skilled instructional leader who will coach teachers to effectively lead the achievement of all students. This includes model teaching, using data to assess and improve instruction, building a strong vertical math curriculum, and leading adults to reflect on improving their practice. Knowledge of the Singapore Math curriculum is a plus, but not required. Candidates should have the ability and desire to work as part of a high-performing team and an unwavering belief that all students can learn.

Candidates must have at least three years of successful teaching experience, preferably in an urban setting, possess a master's degree in mathematics instruction or a related field, and have proven results with students.

Salary is competitive with full benefits offered.
